QA/QC MANAGER

About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented QA/QC Manager with strong FMCG/manufacturing experience to lead quality assurance and quality control activities and ensure that products, processes, and operations consistently meet approved quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control systems.
• Ensure products meet approved specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate quality deviations, non-conformities, customer complaints, and production issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain accurate quality records, reports, test results, and documentation.
• Coordinate internal quality audits and support external regulatory and certification audits.
• Work closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, wastage, rework, and customer complaints.
• Train and develop QA/QC personnel on quality standards and best practices.
• Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in quality management are an added advantage.
• 5–8 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing quality assurance and quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection procedures, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and relevant regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Candidates with strong knowledge of the Enugu manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
