Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a competent, responsible, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in Mowo, Badagry, Lagos.

The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medications, attending to customers, managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispense medications and pharmaceutical products under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Attend to customers professionally and provide appropriate product information within the scope of the role.
• Assist with the sale of OTC (Over-the-Counter) medications and other pharmacy products.
• Refer clinical or medication-related questions beyond the scope of the role to the pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and products sold.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock replenishment.
• Receive, arrange, label, and properly store pharmaceutical products.
• Monitor product expiry dates and ensure expired, damaged, or compromised products are appropriately removed.
• Assist with regular stock counts, inventory checks, and reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of medicines in line with pharmacy procedures.
• Adhere to established pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Assist the pharmacist and management with other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• HND in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in a pharmacy or similar pharmaceutical setting.
• Good knowledge of common medications, OTC products, and general pharmacy operations.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a professional and courteous manner.
• Must be responsible, trustworthy, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Candidates who reside in Mowo, Badagry, or nearby areas are strongly preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

• The pharmacy operates two shifts of approximately 8–9 hours daily during weekdays.
• Full-day shifts apply on weekends.
• Staff will have one weekly off day, scheduled on a weekend and rotated among team members.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts is required.
