ENGINEERING GEOPHYSICIST

ABOUT THE ROLE

PREMIUM HR SOLUTIONS LIMITED is currently recruiting for our client, a reputable engineering and geotechnical company, to hire an experienced Engineering Geophysicist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and supervising geophysical and geotechnical site investigations, analyzing test results and supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and conduct site investigations, including Cone Penetrometer Tests and Standard Penetration Tests.
• Conduct and oversee pile load and pile integrity tests, including data acquisition, analysis and interpretation.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of geotechnical and geophysical test results.
• Sort, analyze and evaluate project data and information.
• Prepare lithologic descriptions of ditch cuttings.
• Manage health and safety issues on project sites.
• Ensure required equipment and materials are available at project sites.
• Manage equipment breakdowns on site.
• Manage regulatory compliance issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards and within budget.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery.
• Prepare periodic reports on ongoing and completed projects within required timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. in Geophysics or Geosciences.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of basic engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Passion for geoscience and the natural environment.
• Flexibility and versatility in handling different project requirements.
• Enthusiasm, patience and perseverance.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
