ABOUT THE ROLE

PREMIUM HR SOLUTIONS LIMITED is currently recruiting for our client, a reputable engineering and construction company, to hire an experienced Civil Engineer with cognate experience in project coordination and management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects from planning through completion, conducting site investigations, supervising foundation and piling works, coordinating site personnel, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with technical and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, design, develop and maintain small- to large-scale construction projects.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze maps, reports, tests, drawings and other technical data.
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and prepare blueprints that meet technical specifications.
• Assess project risks, materials and associated costs.
• Supervise foundation investigations, piling and construction activities.
• Forecast potential problems and develop practical solutions to emerging site issues.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, including site personnel.
• Monitor project progress and prepare periodic project status reports.
• Manage equipment breakdowns and regulatory compliance issues on site.
• Gather and analyze construction site data, including soil conditions and land elevations.
• Administer tests to determine the physical properties of construction materials.
• Prepare and interpret drawings, sketches, charts and schematics.
• Review blueprints and design documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors and other professionals to ensure project plans meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Work with surveyors to establish exact points for pile installation.
• Determine the equipment and quantity of materials required for project execution.
• Supervise equipment setup and project commencement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc./B.Eng./HND in Civil Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Lower/Merit.
• 5–7 years or 7–10 years of relevant civil engineering experience, depending on the level.
• Proven experience working in a geotechnical engineering company.
• Experience overseeing piling foundation projects.
• Strong knowledge of the construction and engineering industry.
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control and regulatory approvals.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar design/visualization software.
• Professional engineering license.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and responsibility.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
